Recommended for JRPG lovers and people who love Final fantasy!īravely Default is a paragon for modern and traditional J-RPG design. The only thing that I want to complain on this game is the tedious excessive chapter I feel the incoming doom is really affecting me but in the end it kind of gets tedious and vexing but seeing there is a side quest and different dialogue each time for that does cover up that misgiving.Īll in all it is a great game.
The music is good also not great but good. The game play is good it's a JRPG through and though so no complaints on that. It's different from that you learn there side of the story and that will make you decide if you are the good guy or the bad guy. However there is a certain plot twist that will make you think that it's not just point A to point B or that you just need to kill your enemy.
The Story was good it's a the world is in danger and you are the warriors of light who are the only hope from utter destruction from the darkness. the personality of each the characters really attaches to you. The game is really good I though I wouldn't like it. I seriously do love the characters most of all. If you can forgive the time loop section this is honestly a game I HEAVILY recommend. This is a pretty serious blow to an otherwise ridiculously good game. This annoying repetition has soured the experience of many players as there's really nothing for you to do every time you restart the loop again. This games second half is just a time loop where you repeat the same "awaken the 4 crystals" I believe 4 or 5 times. The difficulty is oddly lopsided.įlaw 2: This is the main flaw most people have with this game. This game does let you change it's difficulty at any time but the difficulty is more like: Easy = babies first rpg, insultingly weak enemies, Medium = hard, enemies CAN kill you if you don't take them seriously and bosses require sound strategy to beat, hard = well I hope you have time to spare because you're gonna have to grind for a good long while if you wanna survive a single blow from a boss. Basic enemies truly have the power to wipe out you party if you don't kill them the same turn. However like all my reviews I will judge this game fairly and point out its flaws.įlaw 1: This is not a gentle game. The story starts off simple enough but gradually ramps up to insane levels. With all the classes and having the ability to add a sub class to your class allows you to form a metric fuckton of strategy (sometimes game breaking strategy) combine it with it's unique brave and default mechanic and some truly spectacular things can be done, The music is something else, Serpent devouring the horizon is one of the absolute best final boss themes you could ever hear in any game, eat your heart out God shattering star. The characters and combat, to me are the main reason as to why I love this game. However this is one of the few "final fantasy" games that actually made me genuinely adore all the characters. Well not essentially, its a fucking final fantasy game. This game is essentially a final fantasy game.
